Your digital partner
for the new era.

We architect and build business management software: the systems your company actually runs on. AI-driven delivery, twenty years of production discipline, and a team that stays after launch. This is where it happens.

//. how we build your system

Brief to production,
compressed.

Step 01 / 04

Listen.

Thirty minutes on the problem. We map the shape of your business, not the shape of a proposal. Then we tell you honestly what to build, and what not to.

$ lm listen --client=you
Step 02 / 04

Architect.

One diagram, one plan: the whole system designed before code is written, scoped and quoted up front. The blueprint the entire build runs on.

$ lm diagram --out=system.svg
Step 03 / 04

Build.

Senior engineers shipping in tight loops with AI doing the heavy lifting. Weeks, not quarters. Production-grade from the first release, not a demo that needs rebuilding.

$ lm build --mode=production
Step 04 / 04

Run.

Same team on call, years later. We host it if you want us to, support it either way: upgrades, not rebuilds. Systems we shipped two decades ago are still running today.

$ lm serve --since=2006 --ok
//. the architecture engagement

Start with
the architects.

This is what you engage us for: twenty years of systems expertise applied to your business before a line of code is written. The architecture engagement is professional work, scoped and quoted like any other. We design the whole system, sequence the build and navigate the decisions with you, and it ends with the design, the build order and a real quote for the build on the table.

the advice01

What to build — and what not to

We map the shape of your business and tell you honestly where software will pay and where it won't, before anything gets designed.

the architecture02

The whole system, designed

One diagram and a plain-English plan for everything (data, workflows, integrations) before a line of code is written.

the sequence03

A roadmap in build order

What ships first, what follows, what it replaces: the path to the whole system, sequenced so every step earns its keep.

the number04

A real quote for the build

Scope and cost priced from an architecture we've actually drawn, not a guess from a discovery call.

//. the people

Senior on
every seat.

The whole bench, by name. No account layer, no juniors learning on your project. The people who architect your system are the people who build it and pick up the phone after it ships.

//. what we build

Business management software,
in your language.

Quoting, job management, rostering, payroll, compliance, logistics, trading, care delivery. If your business runs on it, we build it. Twenty years across just about every sector means we don't arrive needing yours explained.

trading · finance01

Contracts, positions, P&L

Cargos, blends, counterparties, hedge ledgers. We build the screens traders think in, and the invoicing that catches what slips between them.

logistics · transport02

Weighbridge, freight, load-out

Transport and terminal management: receivals, dispatch, fleet, Chain of Responsibility compliance. Software that keeps pace with the wharf and the road.

ndis · aged care03

Rosters, care minutes, claims

NDIS and aged-care software that survives an audit: participant plans, progress notes, care-minute accountability, claiming. Compliance built in, not bolted on.

mining · workforce04

Awards, swings, safety

Mining-award payroll and award interpretation, FIFO rostering, competencies and inductions. When the EBA is the hard part, we speak it fluently.

construction · trades05

Quotes, jobs, invoices

Job management for builders and trades: quoting, job costing, scheduling, invoicing. The system you graduate to when the spreadsheet gives out.

manufacturing · production06

Jobs, inventory, dispatch

Production scheduling, stock, quality and job tracking. The system between the quote and the loading dock, built around how your floor actually runs.

//. and we host it

Built here.
Hosted here.

Every system we build (and plenty we didn't) can live on our managed infrastructure: VPS, databases, applications and dedicated Australian FileMaker servers. Daily off-site backups, fixed IP, SSL, and the team that designed the system on the machine it runs on.

//. already running on something?

On FileMaker, or a system someone built years ago? That's half our work.

Two decades on FileMaker, Claris Platinum Partner. If your business already runs on FileMaker we'll support it, extend it and host it. When the time is right, we'll migrate the whole solution to a modern platform in one rehearsed cut-over. No-one gets stranded.

Whatever version you're on — 7 through to Claris FileMaker 2025 — we can take it on.

//. straight answers

Asked often,
answered honestly.

What kind of software does LittleMan build?

Business management software. The operational systems a company actually runs on: quoting, job management, rostering, payroll, compliance, logistics, trading, care delivery. Custom-built, production-grade, and yours to own.

What does AI-driven development actually mean?

AI compresses the build. First releases land in weeks, not quarters. Senior architects design the system before code is written, review everything that ships, and own it in production. The AI sets the pace; the architects hold the wheel.

How does an engagement start?

With the architects. The architecture engagement is a scoped, quoted piece of professional work that ends with the whole system designed, a roadmap in build order and a real quote for the build. Then the same team builds what it designed.

How much does a system cost?

Every system is scoped and quoted up front, before the build starts, so you know what you're getting and what it costs, with no surprises mid-build. Start with a brief and we'll give you a straight answer.

Do you still support FileMaker?

Yes. We're a Claris Platinum Partner and have worked with FileMaker since 2006: support, enhancement, hosting and licensing for every version from 7 to the current Claris FileMaker release. When it's time to move on, we migrate the whole solution in one rehearsed cut-over. More on the FileMaker practice →

Do you host the systems you build?

We can host and manage the lot: VPS, databases, application hosting, dedicated Australian FileMaker servers. Systems we build run on our managed hosting or your own infrastructure. Many clients have us run what we built: it keeps the team that designed the system on the machine it lives on.

Can you take over software someone else built?

Yes. Broken, abandoned or outgrown systems are half our work. We audit what exists, stabilise it, then fix it or migrate it whole. See the Rescue practice →
